Clinical counselor Diane Kanady supports patients and families seeking treatment for terminal illnesses. Diane Kanady has worked for a reputable teaching hospital for over a decade. She began as a cancer resource counselor. In this role, she led workshops on treatment expectations, as well as stress reduction and coping techniques.
She subsequently became the program manager for the patient and family advisory council (PFAC). As the PFAC manager, Diane Kanady informed patients about the council and recruited interested volunteers to share their experiences.
She coordinated PFAC meetings and attended professional conferences as the hospital’s representative. Further, as a longtime volunteer and grief counselor with the Hospice Foundation, she provided practical and emotional support to families going through the bereavement process.
Prior to becoming a mental health counselor, Diane Kanady had a successful career as a corporate sales executive. She advocated for workplace diversity and hired underrepresented candidates in engineering roles. She possesses a BS in business and an MA in mental health counseling.
